D.P. Da Prophet – Nice To Meet Ya

After launching his new record label This Is For You Recordings, D.P. Da Prophet(@DPDaProphet) has delivered his first music video of the year called “Nice To Meet Ya” filmed by ThisIsGraphikFilms. The song is a reintroduction to his fans as well as a greeting to new comers. Produced by frequent collaborator Vladi B, D.P. Da Prophet puts his skills on display once again with thought provoking bars and real rap.

Clyde Kelly – LRx

With his sophomore EP LRx, Clyde Kelly(@whoisclydekelly) delivers melodic raps over bouncy, electronic production. The five-song project includes one SoundCloud-only bonus track, one guest feature from singer Emily Marie, and no explicit lyrics. LRx debuted at #39 on the iTunes R&B/Soul charts.

Iman – Costs

Yonkers rapper Iman(@onlyoneIman) drops the dope new visual for his Rondon-produced single, “Costs”. The video serves as a small slice of life in Iman’s neighborhood, giving viewers a glimpse of the block’s signature New York staples: the nail salon, the liquor store, the park, and apartment complexes. The creative editing technique gives the video extra dimension and includes alternative shots of the neighborhood, as well as snippets of the track’s lyrics.

Monk Mandino – F.L.I.M. nroP

California rapper and self-described “rap game Mark Twain” Monk Mandino(@MonkMandino) presents his new single “F.L.I.M nroP” (read it backwards), produced by DamCold.

Detroit native CJ Warren(@cjwarren313) keeps the heat rolling with his 2nd release off of his upcoming EP Delray Conversations. CJ and Dr. Delray team up and mesh erie synths over head knocking 808’s that refer right back to the tracks title.

C. Shreve the Professor – Visual Freestyle

C.Shreve presents an acapella piece with visual animations brought alive by Danny Digital. The combination of lyricism and visual demonstration are definitely a welcomed new direction from Shreve.

Goose – Step By Step

Goose‘s(@gooseohio) latest single, “Step By Step” features Saba and Ano Ba (formerly MPYRE). On the final verse of the track, Goose goes for broke on “Step By Step,” following an inspired performance from Saba (whose voice is also sampled on the catchy hook) and Ano Ba’s melodic and rapid flow.

DruggofChoice – Love, Drugs

DruggofChoice(@DruggOfChoice), often referred to as Drugs, delivers a solo “letter” to his haters in ‘Love, Drugs“. Produced by Denmark’s on Paplo, we catch an eccentric vibe from yet another catchy tune by Canada’s own. Its great to hear some consistency from 23 year old rapper/model. I think we are beginning to hear a unique sound from DruggofChoice as he has recently promised his new project and anticipated visuals to come with it.

Dhniera Blu – Marilyn Monroe

Continuing with the momentum of her first solo release, Dhniera Blu(@DhnieraBlu) has followed up with her heartfelt release, “Marilyn Monroe“. Her 2nd single off of her soon to be released Blu Sessions EP serves as a metaphor for Blu’s experiences and encounters in a male dominated industry. Look for Blu Sessions to release in May!
